Drill Baby Drill!

Just like it's weird to me that the Dems let the GOP "own" the cost issue in health care, it's weird that the GOP lets us own alternative energy. Seriously? They're seriously chanting "drill baby drill." And getting all hot and bothered by coal and nuclear energy? It sounds dirty. Literally.

Other weirdness:

• They mock unions in one speech then brag that Palin's husband is proud member of steel workers.
• They brag about her small town experience but belittle community work.
• The most bizarre thing to me is how they hold her up as having the most "executive experience." By the same calculation -- small town mayor trumps senate experience -- that means she's more qualified than McCain. So why is she on the bottom of the ticket?
• WHY ON EARTH DID THEY HAVE AN INFANT IN THERE!?! Feminism schmeminism, I'm done not being judgey. I was just in that situation last week. They used that poor kid like a prop, subjecting him to intense noise and light that infants hate. He looked drugged. Poor Trig, whoever your mama is.
