Hunky-Hunky Storm Troopers

The police yesterday looked like they were prepared for invading martians or something. really scary and crazily out of proportion to the protesters. And very strangely present wherever the foul-mouthed hippy kids were but never where the foul-mouthed anti-gay, mangled fetus poster weirdos were.

Today the hippy kids wised up and moved to the same spots as the anti-gay guys (who were, by the way, all men and all seemingly, well, very gay looking) The police, pleasantly, switched to less threatening outfits and ditched the horses and armored vehicles for bikes. And provided an intimidating presence for the right wing weirdos to balance out their hassling the hippy kids.

At lunch, the woman sitting next to me and I were talking about the previous day's futuristic outfits and scary weapons and how fascist it all seemed. And then, in hushed tones, at how incredibly hot we found the cops. And then felt sort of ashamed.

Maybe the muggles were right about me and the pearls afterall. At least I'm not the only one.
