I sat next to Sen. Cardin's wife today at lunch. She's so cool and I adore her nerdy husband. When I said I was from North Carolina, she started gushing about Kay Hagan. I said, yeah, I will be psyched to get Dole out and I will certainly vote for Hagan, but I'm not really giving her my time or money or energy because of her pandering about immigrants:

There was a hush at the table (it's so not cool to criticize other Dems at Dem events!) and I explained how I viewed immigration issues in NC and how I was disappointed in Hagan.
Mrs. Cardin said "well, I didn't know that." Everyone shifted the topic quickly but the other woman my age at the table (daughter of high level guy) and I kept talking about it......
